A typical work week is Monday-Thursday.

Transportation pick-up and drop off (ODF Van) is provided to and from Tillamook and Forest Grove daily.

Great Benefits Package - watch this video here FOREST CREW COORDINATOR (Shop) Since 1951, ODF has utilized Oregon Department of Corrections (DOC), Adults in Custody (AIC) to help reforest and protect state forest lands.
As a Shop Forest Crew Coordinator, you will plan, assign, and review the work of a camp support crew assigned to the South Fork Camp shop.
Receives project requests for signs, cabinetry, metal fabrication, tool or equipment repair, simple construction projects, and special projects from ODF personnel within NWOA.
Develops materials list for requested projects, solicits materials bids from vendors, and picks up or delivers project materials.
Coordinates with other agency personnel on special projects approved by the Camp Manager.
Maintains building inventories, prepares property reports, and conducts weekly accountability of non-expendable property including chainsaws, weed eaters, mowers, blowers, and augers.

Note:
Driver's License Check - This position requires the operation of a state vehicle for the purpose of conducting official State business.
If your license is from outside Oregon, you must submit at least a three-year court/DMV printout.
If you have an Oregon driver's license, a record check will be conducted on top candidate to ensure a valid license and acceptable driving record.

Prior to interview, applicants are strongly encouraged to train for arduous level work capacity.
Desired Skills Mentorship and training will be provided so that the skills needed for this position will be utilized to build a solid skill set.
You may not have all the skill sets we are asking for currently, but we are looking for someone who is willing and eager to learn.
We want you to be successful in this position.
Basic knowledge of tree planting.
Ability to train AIC's in reforestation and fire suppression activities.
Ability to transport AIC's to and from work projects.
Basic knowledge of the use, operation, and maintenance of tools and equipment.
Skill in directing and coordinating the activities of a crew (orienting, motivating, scheduling, assigning, and reviewing work).
